10 December 2007
This season Centenary Park Tennis Club entered 5 teams in the Moorabbin District Junior Association and had 3 make it into the grand finals. They were the section 1, 4 and 13 teams. In a historic day for Centenary Park all 3 teams won and in doing so achieved the following milestones:
The section 1 side finished the season on top of the ladder and won the semi final by 14 games against Kings Park to go straight though to the grand final where they again played Kings Park and won by 4 games.
After the doubles
Centenary Park were only 1 game up with Daniel McLean and Daniel Keady going down 6-2 and Jason Curtis and Matt Oliver victorious 6-1. However 3 wins out of 4 singles matches got the side home. Matt Oliver went down 6-3 to Zack Fisher who was undefeated all year and had not lost more than 2 games in any match. Jason Curtis won 7-6 after being 5-3 down. Daniel Keady won 6-3 and Joel McKee won 6-4.
Congratulations to Matt Oliver, Jason Curtis, Daniel Keady, Joel McKee and Daniel McLean

The section 4team also finished on top and played Highmoor in the grand final. After splitting the doubles sets, we went into the singles 1 game down. After winning 3 of the 4 singles and losing the other one 7/6 we had a comfortable win by 11 games
Congratulations to Michael Draga, Justin Walker, Matt Keady, Kris Fennell and Eric Potoczny

The section 13 team were 2nd last on the ladder after 5 rounds but found some form to end up 3rd on the ladder at the end of the home and away season. After winning the semi by 2 games and the prelim by 1 game, they went to the final to face Parkdale, who had been clearly the best side all season. In a similar result to the section 4 side, they split the doubles and won 3 of the 4 singles to also win by 11 games.
Congratulations to Josh Stockdale, Jordan Nasreddin, Josh McAlroy, Mark Attwood and Jonathan Mathe.
Many thanks for the season to Kevin McKee for the organising and all the parents who provided transport and supervised during the season.
